Damai Beach is a window to many experiences. Situated along the sandy beach of Teluk Bandung, Santubong, it is 50-minute drive from Kuching International Airport. Damai Beach is just in front of Damai Central which is just opposite the Sarawak Cultural Village.
To get to Damai Beach from Kuching, board the bus with sign K15 that heads to Damai through Santubong. Alternatively, you can also find minivans that provide shuttle service from Kuching market to Damai. However, public buses are far more reliable, reasonable and convenient.

Centred on the rainforested slopes of Mount Santubong are numerous superb natural attractions which include mangrove forests, rivers, near shore waters and mudflats. The most suitable time to dive near Damai beach is around April to September to get the best visibility. Unlike any other famous dive spots in the country, you will find limited dive operators here. Despite its secluded location, there are various interesting marine lives to be discovered here. As Kuching being the main target of the Japanese invasion just after Pearl Harbour, you will also find a number of ships wrecks underwater. There are wrecks like a submarine, cargo ships and battleships from the World War.
