The Shah Alam Stadium is located in the eastern part of Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. This multi-purpose stadium is used mostly for football matches, well-equipped facilities for athletics as well as has a go-kart racing circuit. The field size for the stadium was according to FIFA rules which are 105 x 68. The stadium is the former home of Selangor FA and current home of PKNS F.C. and has a capacity of 80,372 spectators.
The Shah Alam Stadium, which consists of huge six level semi-enclosed spaces and has around 5,500 car bays in parking lots surrounding it, is the largest stadium in Selangor State. It is the biggest stadium in Malaysia after the National Stadium Bukit Jalil. The frame structure is the longest free-standing arc in the world which was designed by a well-known Malaysian Architect, Hijjaz Kasturi. In 2011, RM 3.4 million was spent to renovate the stadium for the better facilities.
Driving from Kuala Lumpur City Centre, head off to Shah Alam via Federal Highway. However, please be noted that Federal Highway encounters heavy traffic jam on every working day during peak hour between 4 pm to 8 pm.
Taking the train from KL Sentral station, take the KTM Komuter that heads off to Pelabuhan Klang. Depart at Batu Tiga train station and hail a taxi to get to the stadium.
State Mosque or its official name is Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah is popular with its beautiful massive towers and shining blue dome.
