Rivermount Motel Campground and RV Park

Je n'aime pas dire de mal mais je n'aime pas me sentir arnaqué! Là rien ne ressemble au photo du site. Établissement fortement dégradé (miroir fissuré, bâton qui tient la vitre de la salle de bain, micro-onde sale, aucune envie de prendre une douche dans la baignoire,...) Autour de l hébergement aucun entretien voire un dépotoir. Route passante d'un côté et train de l'autre côté de la rivière. Désolé mais trop fortement déçu par rapport a ce qui est annoncé sur le site.

They charged me $100.00 for a damage deposit for one night. I left the room clean as I got it. I paid in full prior to arrival. they said they would put a "hold" on my card and take it off after checkout. d Did they take my $100.00? My bank statement says they did.

We liked the surroundings and cleanliness but the air conditioning was very noisy, and room had cheap “fixings” (curtain with missing hooks, air conditioning fan had improvised mounting in the window, etc.). Overall a nice stay if ignoring important details…

It's an older property. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Good wifi Friendly host. The river is right outside the back door.

I needed a one night stopover in the area and I chose this motel as it had a high rating - although I don't know how it achieved this. It is old and rundown. The room was poorly equipped, the fridge wasn't plugged in and smelt terrible so not sure when last used, and a third of the lightbulbs didn't work. The mattress felt well used but was just about passable. I also couldn't bring myself to use the shower. Note it is also located next to the highway so you will hear the trucks rolling by.

On check in the room was so cold there was ice building up in the toilet water. It took about 4 hours to warm the room up to a livable temperature. We were told we would be getting a kitchenette room, but the room only had a fridge and microwave. Was difficult to get restocked in the room with things like toilet paper.

A rural setting, by a river. Peaceful, even though by a busy highway. Inside our room it’s quiet. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Reasonably priced.

So disappointed with our one night stay. We had stayed here a few years ago and liked it. So it was our choice again for this trip. We were SO disappointed. And won’t be staying here again. The property looks run down, dirty and cluttered. Water hoses across the sidewalk creating a tripping hazard. Little to no conversation when we were checking in from the desk clerk. No lights on when we entered the front desk area - what a weird vibe. Went to our room to unload, found it was just the bare minimum and furnishings were very worn, also had some “dust bunnies” around the room. One of the chairs had big rips across the vinyl seat. Yuck. Room was hot (no air conditioning but we knew that from previous stay), turned on the portable fan(which was also very dusty), opened the only window that had a screen, and eventually we cooled off and slept. On a positive note - bed was comfy. In the morning, room was very light (no room darkening curtains on the kitchen window so it got bright very early). So we got up to shower and check out. EXCEPT there was no hot water. AT ALL. Tried to run the faucets to see if it would come on but it didn’t. So we had to leave without showers. Went to talk to the front desk about our concerns and check out (around 8:40 am) and the front door was locked. Sign wasn’t on. No lights on inside. No one around. So I dropped the key in the “early” check out box (didn’t think 0840 am was early on a Saturday in the summer) and left. So disappointed.

This property is older but has been updated recently and is quite nice. Not much for amenities but Little Fort is less than 5 minutes away. The staff are very friendly and caring. I will definitely stay here again.

Pleasant greeting and reception when we arrived. This is an old, but renovated property located alongside a river. The grounds were somewhat unkept.
