Very clean, convenient property. Good location and perfect for our one night stay.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express was for a Marines graduation and the hotel was fantastic for this. Shuttle to/from airport and Shuttle to/from Marines base everyday meant we didn’t have to worry and making arrangements. Walking distance to San Diego old town (if you don’t want to take their shuttle) made getting there and back easy.

This was a wonderful stop for a one night stay in San Diego for us. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The free shuttle from the airport was also a plus. The rooms were extremely clean as well as the entire property. They provide a nice breakfast in a dining room that included fresh fruit fresh-made pancakes cinnabon cinnamon rolls eggs omelets and breakfast meats along with a lot of other things. I would highly recommend this if you were staying near the airport

My overall experience was absolutely phenomenal. Very welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk into the lobby. I highly recommend staying at this particular location.

Holiday Inn Express scored big time with me for their excellent shuttle service! They were so friendly and accommodating in picking us up from the airport, taking us to Old Town, and getting us to our cruise embarking port. They also had a fantastic breakfast available - a step above most hotels!

Booked and paid for a room with 2 queen beds, front desk checked us into a room with a single queen bed at first. After commuting was told there were no rooms available with 2 queen beds, ended up staying in a room with one king bed.

Loved our stay. Staff was great. Property was well kept and convenient to everything we wanted to do. Old Town, MCRD, zoo, Sea World… it’s all close and easy to access but the staff really make this hotel a comeback hotel for us!

The room furnitures are arranged poorly. Sofa bed block the toilet and there is no space and we have to jump over the bed. There is no complimentary toilet bag and we need to call front desk but they don’t provide the front desk number so we have to go on elevator every time we need front desk. Sheets don’t seem freshly cleaned. We needed to wash baby clothes but it needed 32 quarters and front desk again said they couldn’t help!

The hotel was nice but the bathroom in our room smelled terrible. It was as if someone had just dropped a huge load and walked out. There was TP still in the toilet. As we were enjoying some on the best pizza we've ever had from Bronk's Pizza (get the calzone!), a massive spider was spotted crawling on the ceiling. Given the fact that our bathroom had been destroyed by an employee (I'm assuming since they clean in right before we get there) we had to take matters into our own hands. After risking my life and playing exterminator, the threat was neutralized and I was able to once again, enjoy my pizza. Breakfast was a 4.8 out of 10.

Check in was simple and easy. Our room was super comfortable and our shower had two showers heads. Over all a great experience.

The staff was great. Having a shuttle service from airport and to cruise terminal just made our trip so easy and convenient. The breakfast was excellent.

This hotel is as good as it gets. They have great service across the board from the front desk to the shuttle people. All are friendly and actively helpful. On top of this they are gifted with a great location for the pier from which our cruise left. One of the most problem free hotels we'd ever been at in this mix of hotel and pier. They also shuttle you to local area restaurants that are great. And we were able to keep our vehicle there for the time we were on our cruise until we got back. Perfect.

We were so very pleasantly surprised at the service we received. Elia, the driver who picked us up at the airport, offered to take us to dinner and pick us up, bc there was no restaurant close by. We felt this was above & beyond normal service. They couldn’t have been nicer!

First time stying here for a 2 day 1 night trip. We went to Seaworld, only 8 minutes away from the hotel. Then at night we went over for some dinner in Little Italy, also 8 minutes away. Great location! Everything is close by. The hotel was very clean and in great condition. They have a complimentary breakfast bar in the morning! Great way to start the day. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to another San Diego trip.
