Sidewalk near the entry was very dirty and there were lots of cigarette butts, not good with small children and pets

I was very pleased the Kelly Inn at Mitchell, SD. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly to chat. I was particularly impressed with the design and details of the building. The lobby was amazing and decorated for Christmas. Very nice. I would love to stay again

I was happy we were able to check in early. Staff was pleasant. Bathroom is in desperate need of an uplift. Breakfast had no fresh fruit.

Compared to other hotels at the same price this hotel is over rated. The bathroom was dirty. Terrible mold along the edges of the tub inside and out and the bathroom was dirty. The bottom sheet was so thin you could see thru it. The attendant we had to check in was nice but upon leaving the next morning the front desk didn’t respond to my saying goodbye and thank you. She barely looked up.

It's an old property that definitely needs a renovation. We couldn't eat the breakfast and they didn't offer any caffeinated tea. We stay there because it's pet friendly.

After asking for a room on the first floor, being told it would be a $40 increase in price, and saying no, the desk clerk put us a far down the hall on the 2nd floor as he possible could have from the main entrance after. The room was icebox cold when we entered and the outside curtain rod was hanging down. The toilet also wasn’t flushing properly and I had to fix it twice so it would quit running water.

Building sucks - all doors spring loaded to slam VERY LOUDLY . Walls paper thin - floor hallway like an echo chamber. The generic breakfast is beyond bad - better food in a homeless shelter !
