The smoke alarm was going off in the first room we where assigned. The clerk advertised me to just remove the smoke alarm for the evening. The second room we got was next to the laundry. It smelled like bleach and detergent. My eyes we're watering, and my throat was extremely scratchy. The nighttime clerk reassigned us to another room and it was clean.

Well where to start, the pictures provided online definitely don't truly represent the rooms. If I could give negative stars I honestly wouldn't hesitate to do so because aside from the bed being comfy there wasn't anything to write home about.
Things wrong:
1. The heater did NOT push out hot air (CO Springs in January = COLD, not sure if it was warmer outside or inside)
2. Water was lukewarm and slightly warmer in the morning
3. There was poop on the shower curtain and blood on the night stand
4. There was obviously water underneath the shower/tub.. the floor was literally moving underneath (Felt like you were standing on bubblewrap)
5.The key didn't work to get in my room on the second day and the guy at the desk argued with me that I had changed rooms (I wasn't at the hotel all day as I was attending class)
6. The toilet wouldn't hardly flush and acted as if it was going to back up (it's not like I was using a whole roll of toilet paper...no hand torches to wipe with ;) )
I am usually NEVER to be like this to write a review BUT the conditions were terrible, I was thinking my truck seemed like an almost better option to stay in... although the only positive thing in the entire hotel was the bed was pretty comfortable.

Looks like they found a bunch a furniture at goodwill or side of the road and just threw it in there. We got a suite and it was in horrible condition. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

The house keeping ladies are nosy and barge in your room and then if you already told them once you don’t need their service they come and knock like they are the police every 10 mins

I booked a suite with a private room, I got a room with a big bed. No suite, no extra room, no couch. I asked them to move me to a suite, which they did, but no couch, there were two chairs, that pulled out into a single "bed", no blankets or pillows for these "beds". This room was suppose to sleep 5. Now, for the rest, NO HOT SHOWER!!!! The water was luke warm at best, and did not last very long, the heater for the room, was in the front room. I'm not sure but I thought La Quinta was a pretty decent place to stay. Oh, and this "suite" was an extra $10, not on the website where I booked it. This review is for Hotels.com, but I will be calling a manager in the morning and letting them know the issues we've had. Then, if some issues are resolved, I might not leave a bad review for them.

Room was clean but that’s about the only good thing I could say. TV in bedroom had no power cord. Room in front room had a very small tv. Overall really rundown aged hotel.

The worst hotel stay I have ever been to. Once checking in, we asked the gentlemen to place our two rooms side by side, but nope! Let’s place the reservation on the opposite sides of the building. Breakfast was very limited. Coffee had coffee grounds, not drinkable. Waffle mix ran out all the time. Our rental was tried to get broken into. One night someone was looking thru our window bc the shades don’t close all the way. Overall cleanliness was non existent. There was hair/ pubes in the bathroom.

Didn't stay here, said they had a room but didn't. They ended up keeping my $25 in my key rewards. Refuse to fight for it considering everything I went thru before getting it. Id rather just stay a the awesome echo lodge.

Hotel is old...doors facing parking. Area is sketchy with transients walking parking lot. Security Deposit was insane $350 . Will not be using this location again.

We had reserved a king size bed and when we checked in the front office gal (who was amazing by the way) apologized to us profusely for there not being one available. The single beds were small, but we made it work. Would stay at again.

It was clean, an older property, not enough staff the one girl was nice but a long line to check in I waited 1/2 hr, some of the people staying there were sketchy they looked like drug addicted!!
