Great and quiet night

I would NEVER recommend anyone to this hotel. Don’t waste your money!! First of all there was a dead cockroach on the bathroom floor. I know things happen so I didn’t say anything. Then the neighbors were so loud. I’m reasonable but at 2 am when I have to be up at 6 am… they kept slamming the door, people were partying, music so loud. I had to call several times to the front desk as I had to be up. The front desk acted so annoyed that he had to do his job. After the 3rd call he had me change my room. I was given a room with no heater (see attached pictures) and also a dirty bathroom. Just disgusting. I dealt with it because I was so tired. Front desk is no help as the few days I stayed my key never worked. Again, he acted annoyed and asked if I was using it properly.?!! I’m very understanding but this place is a very unprofessional and an unclean establishment. I was warned by other travelers at the hospital to not stay here and I should have listened. Think twice before you book your stay!

Old and dirty

The place was a total dump. The lobby smelled like smoke. There was no one in the front desk to check me in. The room was disgusting... hair in the drain and on the floor. The back of the door had dried glue stuck on it. The right knob of every drawer and door was missing. The pool and spa were out of order and even if they were available were absolutely filthy. Definitely not the Comfort Inn it used to be.

The staff was great. They need to buy a new luggage cart, the other one is falling apart. It was very difficult to maneuver once you get your luggage on. Otherwise had a nice stay.

good but amenities lacking

Beautiful aquarium in lobby. Needs clown fish to luxuriate in the anemones!

For such a nice place, this is very reasonably priced, especially for the day before Thanksgiving. It's now my go-to booking for out of town relatives! Walking distance to the beautiful SLO downtown, so especially convenient for folks who come in on a train and don't want to rent a car. Highly recommended!

HVAC doesn't work nor does Wi-Fi. Typical for slo county. Worst customer service in California.

The rooms don’t look like the pictures at all there was stains in my blankets and it definitely was dated. Also the hot tub was out of commission.

Old and needs painting and repairs

It took three tries to get a working room. The first had no shower curtain or rod, but the pieces were there. Shower was coming off wall. Second room had nonstop water coming out of tub, it couldn’t be turned off and was loud and a lot. Final room had hair on bathroom counter and dirty towel under sink but by this point front desk had said if it didn’t work there was nothing else. We asked for more towels later on (room only had one) but they never arrived. It’s sad because location is decent but that’s about it.

It was a really nice hotel especially for the price of the area! It was well made and kept and close to a lot of places to shop or eat. Only con was the water from the showers had one setting: HOT!! It burned me and was pretty much unusable.

It was the least expensive and now I know why! The room was embarrassing. I mean, how can the owner of the property, charge money for rooms that are in such poor condition? Terrible.

There was hair in the bathtub, the lights between the beds did not work, the air/heat unit did not work. At check out there was not a person at the front desk. Walls were so thing I heard the people next to me all night until 5am. Carpets in walkway were not clean.

I was traveling in for an afternoon event and called days in advance to see if early check in was possible so I could dress in the room. Over the phone I was told it wouldn’t be an issue, and while they couldn’t guarantee in advance, that they would make a note in my reservation and if something came up, there would at least be a space on the property where I could dress and drop my bags. When I arrived and asked politely about early check in, I was treated so rudely by the front desk staff. It was frankly the rudest I’ve ever been treated by a hospitality staffer. I was not allowed to finish a sentence, and was told under no condition could I check in, get dressed, or even drop my bag. I don’t mind not being able to accommodate a request, that is merely inconvenient, but the rudeness with which I was treated was completely unacceptable.

It was close to my work

We booked thru Hotels.com. When we arrived we were told of a $150 hotel hold fee for damages.. NO WHERE ON HOTELS.com. Does it indicate this.. threw our budget out the window.. also the HOTTUB was not functioning and had not for months… that was not listed either. hotel staff not professional. sweat shirts and eating at front desk. It was like an upgraded Motel 6… they can leave the light off… NEVER BE BACK
