Magnuson Hotel Cedar Hill

Many Bedbugs live in bed.

Nothing. Holiday stay. I remained there because I could not get a reservation for a cheaper price at that time. Hotel is under construction. The desk clerk said the work was being done on the 2nd floor, for me that means the top floor. Construction was on the bottom floor. The construction was the botton floor, my room was on the bottom floor. Staff was confrontational and agressive. Tried to charge me a $100 deposit which was implemented the day before I checked in after my reservation and payment was made. No ice, no refrigerator. Condiments for coffee but no coffee maker. I can go no about this experience. I was not good. Thanks Magnuson. I will not recommend this place that is suppose to be a place of peace and relaxation for a traveler or for just peace on a weekend.

It was amazing. Everything was perfect nice people. Well trained workers. Good place to stay and when I called Uber always there on time.

We arrived to a shabby looking hotel. I knew when I booked it it needed some updating. (they do have plans to update and are in the process of doing it to the first floor). First off, it did not have an elevator. Maybe I didn’t see that in the description. We could only get a room on the second floor and I had a knee replacement and it was difficult for me to climb the stairs. As soon as we got up to the second floor reeked of smoke. Our room was halfway down and it didn’t smell quite as bad or maybe our nostrils were already filled with smoke. All the rooms had non-smoking symbols on them. The bed was comfortable, but we only spent one night there because of the smoke and the stairs. I have been charged for the whole four nights, even though we only stayed one. Our clothes and suitcases still smelled of smoke after we left the hotel.

Would not stay here. Checked in left 15 mins later without a refund. Holes in the bed, smoke filled halls, the photos on the website were nothing like the actual hotel.

Do not stay here. I repeat, do not stay here. The room had 3 beds for some odd reason. The door wouldn’t lock and anyone on the property could just walk into my room, unless I used the chain. I had to take my belongings with me everytime I left to go eat. The pool was dirty and not usable. They advertised a free breakfast and they didn’t have one.

The furniture was frayed , there are no microwaves in rooms, the manager owner is strange. Horrible experience.

Our stay was ok, but the room suppose to had a microwave which they said they were going to provide, but never did. Our door would lock most of the time when we was not there or when we was sitting in the room.

The hotel staff was pleasant, helpful when we asked for an extra room key and ice bucket. But, you definitely get what you pay for here. When we walked in to bring our bags up to our room the door that separated the hall from the lobby was the only thing that kept the smell of Marijuana from the lobby area. (When checking out we let them know of the smell. They said it always smells like that.) The first floor had a water puddle on the carpet next to the vending mechines and ice mechine. The wall papar was coming off the walls in the hall and the room we where in. The carpets where dirty throughout the hotel. A few of our towels had what looked like lipstick of purple and red on them. Luckily the room was stocked with more towels. The beds where comfortable and had enough pillows. The room was about 93 degrees when we walked into it, and took till about 4AM to cool down to a comfortable 73-74 degrees.
