Motel 6 Lawrence, KS

We waited at the check-in counter under crumbling and peeling ceiling, in a filthy lobby that reeked of cigarettes and weed while the one attendant was taking the longest bowel movement in a “out of order” lobby bathroom…the fact that there is a $75 damage deposit is a joke) We got our key, went up to the no smoking room, after walking through the hallway that smelled like a dispensary, only to find flickering lights, ripped sheets, one bed kind of made the other definitely not. Blood spots on the sheets, toilet used and not clean, used cup on the bathtub, and expired curdled milk in the dirty refrigerator. The remote didn’t work for the tv, no wifi, and to top it off, the barking dog and loud talking and door slamming in the next room made it next to impossible to sleep.. had we not had a 8 hour drive home there’s is no way I would have sucked it up and stayed.. slept fully clothed and used extra t shirts for pillow cases. This place needs to just be bulldozed and turned into a parking lot.

The front desk staff was super nice and friendly. The room and areas like elevators or staircases were very dirty, unfortunately

Hair in tub, drain stop broken, change on floor. But it was a bed and air conditioner worked.

The only issue I had was being able to hear the people above me walking on the floor and moving chairs around while I was trying to sleep at night.

The property was okay but there is a lot of construction going on around the property.

I was put in an old room at the back of motel with lights not working in the room, remote control not working, room was not clean & spelled like urine and it had roaches in it.

Everything had a serious smell of smoke. The sheets were stained. The knob on the tub faucet was just a metal bar because it was broken off. Also, dried poop stains on the toilet seat. Absolutely disgusting. App won't let me add photos or I would

I have stayed at lots of motel 6s all over the country and never had such a bad experience. First two very drunk guys are just hanging out at the front door. The front office needed ID front everyone staying in the room and the charged 75$ instead of just having a card of file for damage. Now I have to wait 5-7 business days for a refund. The entire place smelled bad. The location was not the best of neighborhoods. The beds were uncomfortable and the blankets were thin. Just not a good place to stay

I have stayed at this Motel 6 on numerous visits to Lawrence, and if you are looking for an affordable place to stay, this is a solid choice. It's right off of I-70 and only a few minute drive from Mass St. (downtown Lawrence). There is always enough parking, and the motel is almost always peaceful and quiet.

Quiet, coffee and water set up, friendly and quick access to the tolled road access to Topeka or Kansas City.

There were bottles of various drinks still in the fridge as well as a partial jug of milk. There were sticky spots on the floor and could have used air freshener.

Room,& elevator, & lobby was not clean. General area not clean, not kept for motel guests.

Starting about 9 pm the fire alarm in the room started going off. It took almost 20 min for maintenance to areive, change a battery and 20 min after that battery was changed it went off again. 3 times the battery was changed before we had to change rooms butbit could still be heard down the hall. The rooms were cold and they didnt have more than sheets and a thin comforter on the beds.

Probably the worst place I have ever stayed in. The fire alarm chirped because the battery was dead. When I called the desk they told me to just disable it because they could not fix it. The shower did not work at all and there was no plug for the drain to take a bath. The floor and bedspreads had brown stains. The mattresses were so old that when you sat on the edge of the bed you would slide to the floor. Just an awful place.

First room was not cleaned! Next room freezer was frozen over. Microwave stunk to to high heaven. I had clean it out myself to get rid of some of the smell. Yes the freezer had a quart of Soy milk in it. Spoiled of course. Could not fill out this form because WiFi did not work! This is not Motel 6 quality! Please remove this Motel.
