Quality Inn Midvale - Salt Lake City South

We booked as it was close to a family function. Only stairs to 2nd floor so they arranged for room 111 d/t our mobility issues. The twin queen was large, clean, comfy, everything worked. Many guests around us were nice but obviously homeless, perhaps escaping the winter cold. It was no pets but lady with toothless meth-mouth across had small dog in a satchel. There was a dated, torn notice on the spa door that it was temporarily closed. I tried my room key and the door opened to dirty, disarrayed storage. Didn't look like it had been used in years or any real plans to use for its intended purpose ever. The very small pool was outside and looked to be in rough shape (closed for the winter). The breakfast room was open with juice, breads, a couple waffle machines and cold cereal. One patron showed up in saggy gray sweats at half mast with a high hip black lace G-string hanging down the crack with pink flamingo fluffy feather slip on slippers. My grandson and the truck driver across from us got quite the eye full. She was leaving as I loaded the car to see her keep on walking, with no coat, the several blocks towards 7200 South and State Street. A "friend" of a guest or breakfast crasher? The room was actually nice, anything beyond that closed door was rather bizarre.

Hotel is in a questionable area. It felt sleazy inside and had homeless people outside. The photos made the hotel look better than it was. Inside, the comforters had stains, the walls filled with unpainted spackling and everything looked old. There was no elevator. The breakfast was heavy on breads with no fruit or yogurt for gluten free eaters. I should have known better since the rate was so much less. Only positive thing was the beds were comfortable.

The staff were kind and the building was warm and inviting. Slept well on the beds too rooms were clean. WiFi worked great

Hotel was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly (especially Shiv, even when you lock your key in your room twice in one night)

There is no elevator and most importantly there was baby cockroaches in my room. It’s a nice hotel pretty good breakfast. The roaches turned me off. I’d like to stay there longer, but that won’t be happening.

Customer service is non existent no one at desk 😑 ring a bell and hear hold on from someone waiting for check in and check out wont be back

Quiet, with great location. Front desk staff was on the spot with customer service like you wouldn’t believe. I had to sleep an extra 5 hours just to reset my palate from all the great taste left in my mouth from such a resplendent experience. Thank you Quality Inn. All of you.

The hotel is quite clean. I was disappointed with breakfast. I went to have breakfast at 7:30 am and there was no breakfast left, only juice and coffee. There was no bread or pancake left for my family. I asked at the counter and they kindly told me that they had run out. Apparently I had to get up at 5 am to have breakfast.

This is an affordable, comfortable hotel. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfy.

Room was very dated Shower was handycapped and water ran all over the room. Wouldnt stay again. Will spend more money

Everything was very nice

The guy at the front desk sat talking and laughing with someone on a video chat while I was waiting for 10 min for him to even acknowledge me or even start to check me in. He was clearly talking with a friend BTW. The room had mold growing down the walls. The complementary breakfast was okay but mold poured out of the apple juice.

I was a little bit disappointed when I showed up because when I checked in, I asked about the pool and I showed him the pictures on the website and it shows that they have a pool and a Jacuzzi, but it came to realize that they did not have a pool or a Jacuzzi so I told them that is false advertising and they said it wasn’t their fault because those pictures are old so I ended up staying realizing when I checked into the room they had just a basic TV with no Netflix no Hulu no nothing. Just a basic TV was a little bit disappointed about the room as well but I guess for what I paid for is what you get your money‘s worth
