The hotel was renovated 3 years ago and the rooms are so nice! I booked the least expensive and it was spacious (for NYC) and so comfortable and clean and lovely. Super convenient to the subway, Zabars, and everything else. Will definitely be back.

This was a really lovely hotel! Beautiful, clean, great neighborhood, lovely lounge and fantastic caring staff. Really could not have been any nicer. I definitely plan to return!!

This is a nice hotel and a really nice loung bar in the lobby but I felt its location is not so fun. Lots of renovations around the hotel and a sleepy neighborhood for NYC - we were told the bar was closed Christmas day so we were looking for another place to have a drink but then when we came back people where sitting there having drinks

Great stay minus the scary naked man about 100ft straight across to the next building that stared into our room windows and stood there naked. We checked in around 5 and noticed, kind of giggled then went to dinner. Came back around 10:30 and he was still there naked moving from room to room to look into the hotel windows. We closed the blinds which was fine we just prefer to have them slightly open as we enjoy waking with the sun. Hotel is beautiful we will definitely stay again as we are in the city every 4-6 weeks to visit our daughter that lives in the area but will ask for a higher floor (not the 3rd)

Second time at The Wallace and we really like it. The rooms are so well-appointed and pretty and thoughtfully designed. Friendly and helpful staff. Will continue to stay here when in NYC.

Great all around experience.

The staff was great!

A nice, human- scale NYC hotel well away from the insanity of the tourist areas served by day-trip buses. We had no issues with anything during our 4 day stay during the week before Christmas. Shower/bathroom and beds were particularly nice. We especially liked the three-tier shelving over the toilet for our stuff. The bathroom tilework was beautiful in room 1206. Other guests were mostly older (40-60) couples and we saw few kids- which for us is a blessing. The bar and lounge area was relaxing and comfortable during the evenings and appeared to be a destination spot for younger couples after 10pm. Drink service was friendly and professional. Overall we would make an effort to stay at the Wallace again.
