Booked this hotel a while ago. Realized a month ahead of our visit that we’d swapped the dates around for our trip. Tried working with the hotel to reschedule. They refused to accommodate us even though they had openings the week that we intended to book. We had to book with another hotel and eat the cost of the error.
It would be understandable if the error was caught the week before, or there was no availability, or the stay was a low-demand timeframe. However, the week we’d booked was the week of Christmas, we caught the error a month in advance, and there were available rooms the week that we needed to reschedule to: the week of New Years. We pleaded with the staff to reconsider as this would be my family’s first trip to Europe and the hotel was booked for my son’s birthday, but they could not be bothered to be understanding or even compassionate.
A hotel this expensive should be more helpful and adaptable.
