The staff here went above and beyond to help us out when our airline delivered our delayed luggage to this address by mistake - we eventually came back to Catania to pick up the luggage and stayed another night in Villa Romeo. The hotel is a little worn down but has dated grandeur, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and the courtyard that opens out from the ground floor rooms is charming. Breakfast could be improved. The location is excellent if you are only staying in Catania for a night or two and want to be near the train station/airport shuttle. Most importantly, I found the staff here extremely professional, courteous, and easy to communicate with (despite our complicated situation with the luggage) - the best experience in this regard during a week's stay in Roma and Siracusa. Thank you again to the staff!

We enjoyed this truly Sicilian hotel. The rooms are designed individually and the courtyard is beautiful.

Very close to bus and train station. Walkable to most attractions in the city. Friendly staffs. For rooms facing street, expect to hear traffic noise at night.

Convenient location by train and bus but a little bit far from Downtown.

A fairly priced hotel for short stays. Its location near the train and bus station makes it a good overnight stop between transfers. However, the rooms do not have a good smell and the area around the hotel is quite terrible.

A two minute walk from Catania’s train station. The area is bit seedy. Once inside the hotel the seediness is replaced by old world charm and elegance. An enchanting courtyard filled with a variety of thriving plant and trees makes for an ideal place where I enjoyed good strong coffee in the morning and an evening limoncello. It’s an easy 15 minute walk to the city walls and cathedrals, which are stunning. Helpful English speaking staff made the stay even more convenient.

The hotel was very clean and staff pleasant. Very close to Catania Train station so very convient for public transportation. It was quiet in the hotel even off of a busy strert. I felt safe and was able to walk to almost everywhere i wanted to see in the area.

Convenient location for those traveling by train. Basic hotel for the price. Limited dining options in the area.

Perfect location adjacent to trsin and bus stations but, as do often in such cases, the immediate area is shabby and the haunt of prostitutes and other street life. No real danger but hardly ideal..The hotel itself is a grand old palazzo with many beautiful features, especially the interior gardens. It's only a 15 minute walk to the nicer parts of Catania. I'd stay here again.

Good location close to both train station and bus station. A bit to go to the main street. A lot of restaurants close to the hotel. Pleasant beds, clean hotelroom and good size of the room. A very nice garden in the middle of the hotel. Breakfast was ok, americano seems to be a little bit cold, but latte where perfect. We used the transfer service to/from airport and would do it again.

Nossa estadia foi maravilhosa! Tivemos a recepção do Francesco, que alem de ser muito profissional, simpático e atencioso conosco, deu nos várias dicas de como se locomover na cidade e passeios. O hotel é proximo à estação de trem e ônibus, onde se pode facilmente ir à Taormina, Siracusa, Palermo, Messina. Alem do centro histórico ser muito perto caminhando. Os quartos são grandes e limpos e o café da manhã gostoso. Quetemos agradecer ao Francesco e equipe, nossa estadia tão acolhedora e até uma proxima, se Deus quiser.

Hôtel témoignant d'une splendeur passée mais qui a arrêté l'horloge de la modernité. Les marquises tombent en lambeaux, la chambre a une ordeur de renfermé. Les matelas n'ont certainement pas été changé depuis très longtemps et vous garantissez de belles courbatures pour le lendemain. La réception est faite par des employés qui ne connaissent pas l'accueil en souriant. La seule note positive ne se trouve pas dans la teneur mais dans le lieu du service du petit déjeuner.

This was a good enough basic hotel in Catania, near to the station. However it was noisy and not particularly comfortable for sleeping. Nice breakfast.

We loved our stay at this unique hotel which was a former palace. The staff was helpful and friendly especially Francesco. The breakfast was good and it was served in a lovely garden courtyard. The rooftop deck was an added bonus. It was easy to take a cab to the city center so we were not bothered by the location which was near the train station. We would stay there again! The staff was very friendly. Breakfast & a beautiful outdoor courtyard were terrific amenities. The hotel was in walking distance to so many great restaurants.

The hotel is old but has very unique decor, with several pretty court yards. The neighborhood is run down but does have some restaurants near by. It is close to the bus station and train station.

The hotel room had some good points such as a decent shower, friendly staff, and accessibility to the stations. The bed matttreses were very poor however. I later noticed previous reviews where this was flagged as a issue. We had a double bed and two single beds for our use but could only use one single and one half of the double for sleep, as the other single one and other half of the double mattress were not fit for sleeping on, springs had gone. As the hotel was fully booked we could not change rooms.
