Although the room was reasonably clean, it was generally run down, with old bathroom fittings (I did not want to have a bath as it did not look that clean and there was a rubber shower hose to attach to the taps for a shower - so no shower either). Towels were thin, bed was soft and the pillows smelled of sweat. 2 doors labelled ‘fire doors’ were wedged open on the staircases. Some staff were friendly, others not so much. The food wasn’t great either - barely cooked poached eggs at breakfast and soggy chips (possibly reheated) for dinner. Overall I would not recommend this hotel and do not think it was value for money at all. I won’t be staying here again. It stated there was private parking, but it was only for a few cars and so I had to park on the road. I think I will stick to booking Premier Inn in future.
