Legian is a neighbourhood in Kuta sub-district, Badung, Bali province, Indonesia. In Legian there is one beach that is a favourite of tourists, Legian Beach. 

Legian used to be a village called Karang Kemanisan. Where Karang means village, and Kemanisan is the word Sweet. Manis which has the same word with Legi, then finally this area is known as Legian. In this area there was also a big eruption, namely the 2002 Bali Bombing.
