Hotels in Putra World Trade Centre

Putra World Trade Centre is a convention or exhibition centre located at Jalan Putra, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. It was begun to be built back in 1981. The building then was completed in 1984. The building was officially opened on the 2nd of September 1985. It was launched by the Prime Minister of Malaysia at that time, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad. It was during the first UMNO General Assembly. Then UMNO has used the place as UMNO General Assemblies as a staging area until today.

Besides hosting the UMNO General Assemblies, since 1985 the country also moved the International Quran Reading Competition here from Stadium Merdeka. Besides that many companies also would use this centre as a place to held exhibitions and festivals. Some of the big events held here are Halfest, MATTA Fair and also International Book Fair.

How to Get There

By Plane

There are flights to Kuala Lumpur provided by many airlines. Some of them are Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia and Malindo Airways. From the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 1 or 2, guests may hail up a taxi to Putra World Trade Centre.

By Car

Those who are driving from other states of Malaysia may take the North South Expressway exiting at Kuala Lumpur. Getting there will not be a problem as all the navigation system will have it in their systems already. The centre is located at the interchange of Jalan Kuching and also Jalan Ipoh.

By LRT

By using the Ampang LRT Line, there is stop right in Putra World Trade Centre. Here visitors may get off and walk right into the halls of Putra World Trade Centre.
