The hotel is great for a short escape. The location is very strategic, the room is wide and clean, the service is excellent! They gave me a non-smoking room as I requested and I am so grateful for that. And what great next is that they gave guests a reusable and refilled water bottle and glasses so that no plastic wasted. This hotel is perfect! The receptionist was very friendly. They helped us bring the bags. The room was very good, very comfortable, but still the price is affordable. The hot shower after going on a trip and we got delicious breakfast in the morning. Perfect!

Good location, I can see the atmosphere of the sunrise. Two nights stay, good breakfast, friendly and helpful service. Can enjoy morning walk in nearby and also to madiun plaza and lawu plaza just toke fe minutes by walk. So far we wants to enjoy night or morning in the madiun city, I recommended to stay I this hotel. The staff and all the hotel crew are very pleasant.

Asked for early check-in from the app but on arrival was told not available because the hotel was full. Eventually able to check in a bit early after noon, but only in a smoking-allowed room.

Hotel Gunawangsa MERR
Smelly bathroom at second day, flush didn't work better (especially. Day 3), need to be repaired so it can work properly. Other than that I had bad experience with noisy neighbourhood/guest next to my room, and there's no one hotel staff try to inform them. Last, there's different staff greeting standard (some staff greet me, some just passed by)

Tunjungan Hotel Surabaya
pictures speak for themselves.. place was completely empty, smelt a thousand years old, everywhere outside the hotel room was very hot, most facility looked like it hadn't been touched in a long time, and most shockingly we couldn't even get in! the front was completely shut by banners and seemed as though the hotel hasn't been running. there was a demo in the front of the hotel, that allegedly had been happening since years ago? finding the place to park was difficult as well, as the security kept directing us there but it was constandly shut. honestly what made me most uncomfortable was how empty and creepy the place felt. not sure what was happening there, but just leaving this review to make sure people are aware of the situation there, as I wasn't and had to deal with that.
